城市大學 Adrienne La Grange and Frederik Pretorius 在2000年一篇期刊論文研究香港置業趨勢引用 Dr. Saunders (1990)理論 “天生意願希望成為業主,不是租房者,獨立於家庭經濟環境和土地權屬中立“。香討一般簡稱這現象為”樓奴”。

Ontology
We assume ontological preference for homeownership as an abstract household tenure preference, not in uenced by trading-off costs and benefits of utility preferences through choice in accordance with household resource constraints. Thus an ontological preference for ownership is not a rational economic trade-off of costs and benefits of functional substitutes, or even an intellectual strategic response to manage household circumstances; but instead represents a metaphysical behavioural phenomenonan ‘innate desire to be home-owners’ and not renters, independent of household economic circumstances and the tenure neutrality (or bias) of housing policy (see Saunders, 1990).
